The Elder Trolls

Welcome to The Elder Trolls! This is a troll platformer game inspired by The Unfair Platformer and Unfair Mario that made on my own game engine.

The Troll must undertake a journey that is both long and hard (not what she said) in order to make his wish come true. But what awaits him at the end of the journey?

This game contains a lot of trolls. Dissapearing and invisible blocks, arrows that go through walls, anvils falling from the sky, a very weird storyline, terrible art (I TRIED OK) and a troll music track and other sound effects.

This game isn't even remotely fair and will (hopefully) induce a lot of rage. That's intentional.

This game is still heavily 'alpha' as I've only been working on this project for a few days. Things will change.

Controls:

• AD or arrow keys to move

• W or up arrow to jump

• S or down arrow to duck

• ESC to quit

• K to kill yourself (if you get stuck in a block or something)

Don't use these unless absolutely necessary!

• CHEAT: O to go to next level

• CHEAT: C to set checkpoint at player location

• CHEAT: T to teleport to mouse

I'd like to preface this section by thanking the community for the mind-blowing support. Almost 3k views and 500 downloads, a few awesome youtube playthroughs and a remarkably high rating for a troll game which is early in development is quite inspirational. So thank you!

This is a rather massive update, so I would advise against trying to play the game in one sitting. But, as there is no save mechanic, one would have to use cheat keys to get to the higher levels (see the 'controls' section).

Also, I am planning on releasing a level editor for The Elder Trolls. When I do, mail me your levels so I can include them in the game!!

But, anyways, here's the list of pretty much all the features:

• 4 total levels (these were all painstakingly play-tested many times and now I have clinical depression)

• A high-scores mechanic!

• Added achievement system!

• Added gatling gun, changing block, death block, screw block

• Lots and lots of optimization and FPS stabilization

• Levels are now loaded from LOL files that can be modified in notepad

• Fixed some game crashes

• Fixed some issues with ducking mechanic

• Made text render on death

• Added hidden easter egg :)

• Added a few more death messages

• Changed the obnoxious 'lose_2.wav' sound effect
