What do you think?

just played through the demo and i have to say that the game is fantastic!) it's a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic-esque adventure that feels like a beloved child of Lisa: The RPG and Deponia, with absurd, unique and cool usage of already well-known tropes, very nice pixel artstyle that, while simplistic, has a lot of charm and style put into it, a difficult-but-not-unfair battle system, a unique twist on the usual RPG Maker level design that adds platforming challenges to the game reminiscent of the good old platforming games (and also very unique, as i haven't seen much RPG Maker games that have platforming in them, especially those that have the sideview perspective, like The Last of Samual does!) and, best of all, the game sports an amazing pacing and well-done storytelling that is on par with professionally made games out there, if not better!) all in all, Gordy Games, the demo for The Last of Samual is a job well done.

as you've asked in the game's beginning, i've noted down some of the misspellings and text errors in the game and decided to help you guys out by bringing them up - here you go: firstly, right in the beginning, upon interacting with the backpack there is a misspelling (porbably instead of probably), next, outside of the tent upon interacting with the missile rack (anti sheild instead of anti-shield) in the note about status effects there's another two typos, fist one saying "decreses power" when it should be "decreases" power and the second one saying "Raises charaters" when it should be "characters", and there's a misspelling, too - in the confused debuff it should be "to attack teammates" instead of "to attack a teammate's" another misspelling is when Samual first encounters the shadow figure - one of the lines of the latter has "your're" in it. when Ace is telling Samual about his Queen Stud his second phrase has another typo - everthing instead of everything. in Ace's cave the interaction with the brown containers says "they my be" when it should be "they may be". i hope that i was able to help you pinpoint some of them nasty little misspellings, jajaja!)

i also wanted to point out some of the awesome details that the game has - like the in-game autosave feature in the prologue section that activates if you make an unfortunate jump, or the moment with the king hologram pointing his staff, Chad and his comrades on their way and then in their destination that repeats itself for some time shows a lot of awesome places with great spritework, showcases the masterful art of story pacing that you guys have all the while also doing a good amount of world building while we're at it! next, the battle test feature in Ace's manho... i mean, Ace's cave. yeah. cave... is great and i really wish more games had it - it's very helpful for the players. and, finally and quite symbollically, the last word station is a very unique and creative way to implement a saving feature into the game - i love it!)

all in all, i loved The Last of Samual through and through - games like it don't come out all that much and if they do, they don't have that amazing story that this game has, the colorful, unique and sometimes absurd spritework that the game sports or the well-done platfroming challenges that are pretty much absent in modern-day RPG's (god damn you Devil May Cry 4 for making people hate platforming in RPGs!). you guys at Gordy Games made an outstanding job and i wish you all best of luck, nerves of steel and lots of inspiration while continuing the development of the game and in any future endeavors that you guys might embark on!) take care!

The Kickstarter has now started! Go and check it out!
