also the final standoff attack keeps crashing for me
I really like this fangame, and as the other person said the characterization of the sheriff. My only complaint is that the final attack gets really laggy the longer you stay in it. I do not play on a high-end device but I think this should still be fixed.
Really cool and fun fangame, I really like the characterization to The Sheriff and how he changes his ending words can either be hopeful if you were merciful or doomful if you were violent.
The attacks are also pretty fun and overall balanced, the worst one is probably the one with the orange lasers and exploding bullets since sometimes when two get inside it gets way too hard to properly dodge but its manageable (also its currently bugged and the bullet can bounce away from the box before getting in it lol)
Overall very nice fun game I liked it thumbs up

The Sheriff is a short fangame based on square's "Friend Inside Me" concept.
Check that out here, as it is both cool and bolsters context clues for the story told in this fangame.
(Though, there are some changes and surprises from the original idea. . . )
This fangame is meant to feel like a Chapter 5 superboss. It takes place after the events of Chapter 4 and assumes you've beaten it. Expect connected story threads and a rise in difficulty.
Travel into The Pit and run into the strange exiled Darkner, The Sheriff, who plans to keep you trapped in accordance with his laws.
You'll make him submit one way or the other. How is the important part.
