A stranger to the world, you play as a man as he goes through his life living in the newly turned wasteland. As you progress, you'll slowly uncover his identity piece by piece.

With new locations to traverse comes more possibilities; Discover secrets and memories of the past. Investigate derelict houses and scavenge for materials. Find a safe house and spend the night inside. (Instead of camping outside)

Instead of saving up to buy a better weapon, find and collect materials to upgrade what you already have. That baseball bat? Hammer some nails and wrap a barbed wire around it.

Party members are made interactable; You can talk to them during the journey and spend some time with them while in a safe house, increasing their affinity towards you. (It could be rewarding, who knows?)

With the quest system implemented, you can receive quests from various NPCs for extra rewards and keep track of them along the way.

PQA (Possible Questions and Answers)

Q: What's the difference between The Blessing and The Loyal?

A: Story revamp! I changed so many things for the storyline that I had to create a new page to avoid confusion with the other version. Along with that, some features from The Blessing are going to be removed with newer ones introduced in the game. But more on that for later.

Q: Is there any possible release date?

A: [2023 Update] There's none. The game is being worked on silently now. You don't know, it might release tomorrow or someday later. :)

[November update] Not this year. Better finished than rushed or canceled!

[2022 update] Maybe somewhere around December this year! I'll be able to focus on the game's development as much as I want after I'm done with my education in March.

I can't promise anything for now! I'm busy with my education and only do some sprite work from time to time. Can't exactly put 100% of my focus on the game at the moment.

Q: Aren't you being too ambitious?

A: I see a lot of space for improvements in The Blessing and I want to do exactly that! I'm aware of how challenging this project is going to be, and I accepted it. The experience I got from The Blessing's development was fun and painful, so I want to go through it all over again, this time with actual experience.

Q: How long will the game be?

A: The Loyal is going to be episodic, and I have 4 episodes in mind. After finishing all three I'll merge it into one big game. One episode would be around 1~2 hours, so overall it would roughly be around 6 hours depending on playstyles.

Q: Development time?

A: It would be around a year and a half for an episode. Definitely years.

Q: Why did you rename the game?

A: I realized the goal and story objective is different than The Blessing, since The Blessing is supposed to refer to the MC being a "blessing". Again as I said before, I totally changed everything!

Q: Speaking of which, where's The Blessing?

A: *nervous laughter* I hid it under the carpet. If you really want to play it so much, ask around... Actually, I might fix it up and release it again after this. But I really, absolutely suggest not playing it before Episode 1's release. The Loyal is far better and different than The Blessing in many ways.

Q: Do you need any help with the game?

A: I absolutely appreciate anyone offering to help with the game, really! But I refuse to accept any help at the moment. The game's fate is not yet confirmed, anything could happen to the project. I don't want anyone's work and time to go to waste like every other canceled fangame out there. I'm thinking of working on Episode 1 by myself first. And then when it's done, if people like The Loyal enough to lend a helping hand for future episodes I will totally accept it!
