STORY
"Memory is the key." This phrase rings over and over in your head through and through, seemingly never stopping. You know what you must do. You're aware that in time, she'll come to understand. But knowing full-well that she's somebody you deeply care about... do you truly have any other choice? She's just so hard to convince when her mind is already intensely set on a goal, and it's never easy to just tell her your feelings straight up-- even if you're right by technicality.
But what can you do, really? She's in there... and nobody else is gonna stop you. Is it truly best that you start off playing dumb just to mess with her a bit? Should you wing it & make sure your plan comes into fruition, regardless of the circumstances she's facing? Or perhaps with enough determination... you could even make her remember it all through the extensively unbridled force of your own arrogance?
Either way, your resolve is absolute-- and out of your control. You put on the professor's headset & your soul transfers into this little world that was created... converting your essence into a conscious being that can inhabit this world of hers. But little did you know that your own feelings & motivations played a part in a ḑ̵͋́̑̊ͅḙ̵̦͍̭̍̾̏̎i̵̜̍t̶̘͔͉̥́̂y̶̟̤̭͌'̶̼͙͔͙̘̐̀̄̚͘s̵̲̬͇͠ much bigger plan-- a plan that will come into fruition, no matter what...

To those of you who are wondering what exactly this project is... it's merely just a concept build of an idea that I brought to life about 1 year ago through a small ARG that I opened up just for fun. (And it's mostly compromised of pre-made assets & sounds that I used for the sake of providing good resources for any original material that may come along the line.) It's something that's supposed to be part of an interwoven narrative to a tragic story that I vaguely hint at very nearly and dearly in this little project of mine, and I truly believe it could fit into something much greater if I could expand upon it as a concept in the future-- which would be a chance to greenlight it into a funded project if it does well.
Currently, the visual novel itself "technically" lives up to it's own title. "A Day With Mystery" is an upcoming indie-game in the works that aims to be something a bit different from a normal visual novel-- or even a game for that matter. This concept takes ideas from the "Persona Series" of games & transforms it into something of it's own creation. Currently, the material I got isn't exactly substantial to what I've got planned for the final product... but it will cut close to what I will have ready for it.
Also, in case you didn't notice... there is one route in the game that I have closed as of currently. This portion of the game will indeed subvert what you'd expect from a visual novel, but it's basically a test to see if a half-linear experience could work for a story such as this. It's a segment that can pretty much be deemed the most tragic part of this game, but at the same time... I also want it to be stylish in a way that aids the narrative tone overall-- something that makes this game stand out as its own thing. Since this is only a concept so far, though... I'll be saving plans for the next route until I eventually announce Version 2.0 of this game. (And yes… I still have to work on all the resources for that too— revamping the context of a few scenes, potential original compositions for music & many more. That is… if this game gains traction in time. It's a concept of my own creation, after all... no strings attached! Am I right, lads?)
The choice to stick around & see more of this project is all yours, friends. If you have any questions for me, then by all means... go nuts if you'd like to! I'll answer them to the best of my ability— sometimes providing non-spoilery spoilers or various insight.
Huge credit goes to "GamingFrancis" & "Hunter's World Gaming" for testing out my game. They did wonderfully!
