love the style! don't worry about being inspired by other games - there's only so many ways you can make a character out of 5x20ish pixels, and you have to learn from someone!
my characters totally started out as tracings of Dave Grey's style, and i'm working on another game that uses the Last Door-style characters.
Globally it's a good game (storytelling and gameplay) - I would to see a full-lenght game (I think it'll be interesting).
I liked this game. I just wish there was more to it. It felt like the start of what could have been something great or at least interesting.
