The serenity you have created in this game is absolutely sublime. I love the whole space genre of gaming ranging from the space mutant horrors to simple adventures such as this. I will find the other areas in my own time, but thank you for such a cool experience. It's something which actually relaxes the player rather than requiring their stress or focus. Really great job, I hope your future projects are equally as successful!

Very atmospheric and beautiful and unusual... you nailed the lighting/sound/music combo.
I was only able to find 3 places though... I think I would have liked it if the world was a bit more "dense".
Loved this. You nailed the atmosphere and the lighting works so well with the minimal colours! As an experiment, for me it's a success :)
If you get a chance to give our entry Where Others Lie a go, let us know what you thought :)
Cheers,

I enjoyed a lot playing this game because it feels different to most of the other entries in the jam. It was a relaxing experience that brings me memories of my childhood playing Interplanetary Explorer. I would have liked that extending the legs was a core mechanic, maybe the only way of collecting information of each location for adding it to the logbook.
Moving the spaceship was hard at the beginning, but you get accustomed to it after a couple of minutes. The light effects, music and sound effects are great for establishing the atmosphere. I was only able to find 6 locations because I got stuck in a tight area near the crystal grotto.

I'm also in the jam, so I'll appreciate if you review my entry Short-term Battery: https://gamejolt.com/games/short-term-battery/340825
I very much enjoyed this! The sound especially is great, I tried to emphasise that part of my jam entry too (it has some similarities with yours)
I know it's a small detail, but the dust kicked up on the rocks is my favourite thing
This is a pure exploration game. There is no combat, there are no puzzles. Significant effort went into the sound design and ambiance to try make it interesting but it is an experiment to see if a game where the only achievement is finding things can be a fun game to play.
What do you do: fly a spaceship through a cave and find interesting locations. There are seven locations for you to find. If you're after a bit of relaxing escapism, give this game a go.
It was created in two weeks for the #AdvJam2018 although it may or may not be qualified because I built a tool to assist in building levels a week before the contest started (but not the game itself). Even with that tool I ran out of time for the environments I had in my head.
This game was developed in UPBGE and the source blend files are available for download. I've provided builds for windows, but if you're on mac or linux, you can still play! Download upbge and the blendfile pack and press "P" to play after opening ToTheSurface.blend
