Short game
The orbs feel like they were pulled out of a pinball game. This is pretty awesome for a jam game.
My entry for the #badboxart jam, this game was made in just under 48 hours.
Tower Topple is a top down shooter for the Game Boy Advance, where you play as a badly drawn fish/frog and shoot bubbles at enemies while avoiding inconspicuous looking floating balls.
You are as a suicidal fishfrog whose quest is to throw yourself off the tower to your certain death (but fish can't drown?), although that part isn't in the game because I wasn't able to get it in in time.
The boxart I chose is the US release of the game Nebulus, as the fish/frog thing looks completely different to the main character in the actual game.
The windows build comes with a pre-packaged emulator (VBA-M) and a batch script to run the game, the controls have been setup as WASD to move, J to shoot, and K to lock.
Any emulator should work, it's been tested and is confirmed working in VBA, mGBA, and NO$GBA.
Confirmed working on a real GBA with an EZFlash IV.
