Underbattle is a game engine made in Game Maker 8.1 (and Game Maker: Studio) based off Toby Fox's Undertale!

As it is a proper engine, this is much more well documented than any decompiled versions of the Undertale demo running around. The engine was built from the ground up with original code except for the textbox, which was modified.
