amazing
im so ready to play this :3

RADIATION FOX
* A long time ago, there were whispers of this place.
* The DOG HOLE, they called it. A lost land of monsters big and small, making do in the deepest parts of the Underground.
* Why'd they call it the DOG HOLE? Heheh... who knows?

This is a short(?) game about a mystical land known as the DOG HOLE.

Fight (and spare) quirky denizens as you brave 100 (and maybe more…?) floors of brutally harsh and unpredictable conditions. Maybe even meet a cowboy or an ancient obake along the way!

Sometimes the floors may have unique rules and gimmicks, sometimes they won't.

Of course, this is only one of many interpretations of the legend. The door is open for you to create.

And for those that don’t want to or don't think they can, I hope this little game can serve as a window into the realm of possibility.

I deeply believe that any spark of inspiration, no matter how small, is enough of a reason to create. It doesn't have to make sense, it doesn't have to be perfect...

Hell, this entire game is pretty nonsensical in itself, but I'm still making it... because there's value in doing so. Not just for me, but for many others as well.

Regardless, it’s going to take TIME to deliver. Please be patient, as art shouldn’t be rushed.

What's the POINT of this fangame?
Dog Hole Dungeon is an Undertale Rougelike(?) fangame based on the Dog Hole area from Fangamer's Undertale 10th Anniversary Stream. For the sake of reference, it is formatted something like the Pit of 100 Trials from Paper Mario.
Why are you making this? Did Toby give the okay?
Toby said everything he needed to in the stream for this game to exist. The intent is to create a fully realized version of the short Dog Hole segment.
When can I play this?
Not sure yet, but we do intend to take our time despite naturally working fast. The wait will be worth it, though! We are committed to seeing this game through, and everything's already all planned out with no fear of scope creep!
Is this DLC for UNDERTALE?
No, but it's designed to look like it. While this is and always will remain a fanproject, we have taken extra care to ensure that the game looks and feels as accurate to the original Undertale as we can manage. We want it to be that if you didn't know it was unofficial, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Will there be a demo?
Probably not, as I believe that releasing the full game at once will be more meaningful to people. This might change if the private playtesters decide that a public demo for the sake of feedback would be worthwhile and beneficial to our team.
Why are the only screenshots that of the first two layers?
Because it's what we're focusing on the most right now. As the game development progresses, we'll update the screenshots on this page.
Difficulty?
Recommended for veterans of Undertale, Deltarune and experienced bullet hell games in general. There is an "easy mode" setting that halves all received damage for those who need it. There's no shame in using it!
Estimated length?
4-6 hours per full playthrough, assuming you make it all the way to Floor 0.
Enemies?
25 enemies, 5 regular bosses. There might be a few optional encounters to find on your own, though!
Much like the stream, all regular enemies are based on different kinds of meta jokes/ideas of different types of types of people in the community. These aren't meant to be taken personally, and are fairly light in tone. We don't want to hurt people's feelings for real, it's all just for fun. Still, if you're not into that sort of thing, then this might not be a game for you. You have been warned.
Mac port?
Probably not, despite being developed primarily on Apple computers. Mac is infamously hard to natively export for, sorry.
Any plans for Japanese localization after the game releases?
At the moment, unfortunately not. However, if there's enough demand for it, and enough native speakers are willing to volunteer, we'll look into it! It would take a while if so as it would require reworking an entire game's worth of text, so keep that in mind.
Will you be selling anything related to the project?
Hard No.
In the hypothetical scenario this fangame gets super popular after release, can I sell fanmade merch of your original character/enemy designs?
UNDERTALE merch rules obviously apply, so you're allowed to as long as you abide by them. (you cannot use any trademarked assets or branding such as the Undertale logo or the red heart) Please give appropriate credit to the enemy's designer if you do so. Anything originally from Undertale itself (ex. Mr. Sunshine, Abberrant, Troublesboys, etc.) should preferably not be sold.
What's the plan for post-release?
Just fix patches, nothing new unless we absolutely have to. Once the game releases, it means we're happy with the way it is.
What about references?
While this fangame may occasionally reference other Undertale/Deltarune fangames and media, that doesn't necessarily make them canon. They're just little nods and treats for those who are in the know.
Discord server?
Nope! Never! Nobody on the team wants the unneeded stress and distractions of managing a community when we could be devoting that time to the game instead. Feel free to make your own unofficial one though!

While we already have most songs in the game uploaded to our SoundCloud, we're going to keep a select few songs under wraps until the game is out. This includes most boss themes.
You can listen to the soundtrack here!
