Vanessa's Substitution Regraded: The Sneak Peek Demo

Vanessa's Substitution Regraded is a (currently in active development and heavily W.I.P) remake of the original Baldi's Basics mod that started development in late 2024. Serving as a complete overhaul over the original, featuring gameplay improvements, QOL, a brand new codebase, and more!

Compared to the original, Regraded seeks to be a refreshing Baldi experience, visually and gameplay wise.

This game is not what it seems... But you knew that already.

Vanessa's Substitution Regraded is not even remotely educational software, instead, it is a fan-game for the Parody Horror series Baldi's Basics, featuring things that can disturb or upset players such as loud noises, creepy atmospheres, and inappropriate language (used for only ONE hidden character).

New Fancy, Shiny Stuff!

The game is planned to feature 4 main modes, and a plethora of extra and secret content, including a brand new save system, as well as shaking up gameplay in ways that completely change how you play the game! 

However, the biggest thing in all of this is a revised art direction, leaning more heavily towards detailed models and renders over simplistic, cartoony or unrealistic modelling. Some characters still retain their original visual style, but some more important characters got completely new looks!

With some features that could heavily change along the course of development, Vanessa's Substitution Regraded will also be far less convoluted internally, as well as being far more stable than the original mod, which should help keep the experience as smooth as butter!
