Would LOVE to try this game out but... I downloaded the "PC with controller" version and the axis moved extremely slow.. also it said to press "A" to interact with things and that was unresponsive.

Sorry, not really immersive. Taking into consideration you are students of senior grade, and you were in a group of 8, I expected more of you. Much more.
The game lacks any story at all, all the environment is horribly repetitive (even if professionally sculpted) and you even didn't care lightmapping it. I haven't seen a single normal map anywhere.
A group of 8 students in senior grade can do much better even in 2 weeks time and be more creative. I know there is no time during study, but instead of modelling every root, you could focus on imaginative and programming aspect.

This game looks VERY NEAT!
