VIBOARD
VIBOARD is an arcade game that simulates riding a wave board with two caster wheels. The goal is to move the board left and right in a zig-zag pattern to build up speed and collect spheres to earn points.
Each round takes one minute to complete, with a total score calculated by adding multipliers and debuffs based on total spheres collected, top speed, and percentage of collected spheres that are the same color as the front of your board.
Over 20 mods can be added via the in-game Mods menu, making the game easier or harder. Mix and match these mods for unique challenge runs and share your top scores on the leaderboards.
Controls
VIBOARD has a unique control scheme that can take a while to master; I recommend selecting "How To Play" before starting a new game to learn how the controls work.
Enter/Backspace: Menu navigation
Arrow Up + Left/Right: Forward movement with slight turning
Arrow Down + Left/Right: Side movement with more aggressive turning
Arrow Up + Down: Straighten board while maintaining momentum (cruising)
Arrow Left + Right: Spin the board (only works after using Down + Left/Right)
VIBOARD also has gamepad support and should automatically detect controllers that are plugged in. Use the A and B buttons (X and O on Playstation) to navigate menus, and use both analog sticks to control the board.
Features
Three different game modes with 20+ mods
Infinite procedurally-generated track with 5 different stages
Physics-based movement with momentum and friction
Alternating movement patterns provide speed bonuses
Obstacles with unique status effects
Collectible spheres that award points
Bonus points for matching collectible color with board's front color
Shove-it trick that flips the board's orientation
Colorblind mode that changes red to purple
Fixed camera mode to prevent motion sickness
Two different menu themes
VIBOARD is missing one common feature: a pause button. In true arcade fashion, once you start a game, you are expected to pay attention for the full minute until it is over.
Requirements
The portable builds for Windows and Linux require no installation; just download and run.
Storage: 200 MB
GPU: A graphics card (or integrated GPU) with WebGL 2.0 support is required. Most hardware from 2013 or newer qualifies.
OS versions: Windows 10 64-bit or later, Linux with glibc 2.31+
Unsigned-build warnings: Builds produced without a code signing certificate will trigger OS security prompts. Windows SmartScreen will warn on first launch.

VIBOARD is an experiment in "vibe coding", the act of prompting LLMs to write code based on human input. No generative AI was used to create any of the art or music in this game. #arcade #retro #casual #threejs #vibecoding #racing #runner #3d
