Completely unplayable.
first, said it needed some c++ 2015 thing. I clicked to have it install it, and it failed, with a log full of errors. But the game seemed to start when clicked on. But the mouse cursor sword moved horribly slowly and skipping inches, horrible, and when I went into tutorial, the mouse cursor would not go to the right side of the screen, like a wall stopped it, so could not click on next. Really revved up the system resources. I have windows 7 64bit, 4gb Ram i5 2.6GHZ, intel graphics, but i should be able to run a mouse cursor. So, no way to play game.
Welcome to the Arena is a turn-based fighting game in which you choose a class and enter the fight. Each class has different stats, strengths and weaknesses.
You will fight endless enemies, who will get stronger as you progress. Your goal is to survive as long as possible.
The enemies will be very easy at the beginning, but dont relax and smash the attack button. Stock up on Heal Charges and get ready for what is coming!
Your character can level up and increase stats, as well as acquiring upgrades at the Shop. The leveling and the combat systems are inspired by the Fire Emblem franchise.
About the obvious asset ripoff:
Assets for the game come from two main sources:
Graphic assets come from Fire Emblem Heroes
Music comes from Golden Sun games, composed by Sakuraba Motoi
Since the assets are copyrighted, it is strictly forbidden to use this game commercially in any way. That would get both you and me in trouble. All payments have been disabled for this game.
About the Project:
The goal of this project was to create a game in less than two weeks, using already created assets.
Welcome to the Arena was developed in Unreal Engine 4 and is still under development. Don't hesitate to give feedback about it!
Future upgrades planned:
Better balancing
Add more classes
Add bosses: Defeat them to play as them!
Custom achievements
Voices
Known bugs:
When you restart a game after dying or yielding, the first time you visit the shop, the items might be created for the level of your previous run. I'm still figuring out this bug, but it isn't game breaking.
Recruiting:
As you can plainly see and hear, Graphics and Sounds are not original. Therefore, i would appreciate the help of capable illustrators and musicians. Contact me if you are interested in helping. We might release this game to the public.
