I really was drawn into this game very fast. It wasn't what I expected, but the story was great. Just when I was about to give up out of frustration, I just couldn't. I had to see it to the end, which I finally managed to get to. Awesome game.
The sprites remind me of mother 3
I like this game. So complex, yet so simple. I like the multiple endings part, where my 1 hour playthough extended to 8 hours after finding out there are different endings.
Pro-tip to find the different endings, talk both ways. You can't solve the puzzle with Cricket alone. Try talking the other visitors to Cricket as well.
Clues:
Ending one - Cricket will get hints from Ted, three suspects. Solve that alone and you will get 1st ending (which is the worst in my opinion).
Ending two - Almost the same as ending one, but the third suspect must investigate. It will also involve the second suspect to talk to Cricket and get info, then let the suspects talk to one another, then you will get 2nd ending (which is the best for me, but the story needs more closure so meh)
Ending three - Make grandma talk to the second suspect, then the first suspect. Then make the two suspects will help one another. There you will get the third ending.
Ending four- Now combine the needs for ending two and ending three. (finish off ending two first for good measure). Then, use creepy doll and the kid. You'll get it afterwards. The three suspects will help one another.
Again, talk both ways. Possess both people if you want to get clues. Also watch out for new dialogues because they are crucial. Name dropping also helps too, it gives you an idea who to approach next.
I look forward to the second series.
Oh man, this was great! I faintly remember playing the old version and this was even better; great concept and execution, with a decent art style. The interaction the characters have with each other is one of my favourite parts of the whole experience; their dialogue is quirky and humourous while still getting points across. The game is pretty challenging as well, especially one of the steps that lead up to the trio ending. (I didn't even know there was a new possessable character until I started spamming actions with Iblis.)
I'd like to think that the trio ending is the "proper" one, but who knows how the story will be continued (or if it will even be continued) through Dead at Sea. Through what's written in the description on the Greenlight page, I'm hoping that one of my main gripes about the game will be improved; I found it confusing sometimes trying to keep track of everything the ghost learned. Other than that, everything points to an even larger, more complex experience in the coming game. Can't wait for Dead at Sea!
how to get alternative ending warning spoilers
when you get asked to go in the killers room by your self before questining put all charcters in the same room and start questioning and the game breaks there you go alternitive ending

This is a remake of a Flash game from 2012, with completely redone visuals and added story. The follow-up to this game is in development and currently on Greenlight. If you enjoy this game, please consider voting for the sequel (links are in-game). Thank you!
