0.2-d10: reorganization

you know when you look at your beedroom floor, and your like, ‘i can’t live in this, its driving me insane’, so you clean it up? yeah, thats what my code is feeling like right now. so i’m putting new features on hold and re-organising the whole thing.

Why am i doing this?

the code was messy and it was causing problems. messy code = more bugs and an unhappy programmer.

In other**news….**

exams. yep. they have started. this doesn’t mean progress has halted, it means its closer to holidays, meaning i’ll have more free time to spend on making games. just 2 weeks away.

Version Developent

we all know its 0.2. but what stage in 0.2? thats why from now on ill add a dx on to the end, where d stands for development, and x is the progress on the version. for example, the current version (i have been keeping count of the updates) would be ‘Tide 0.2 d10’

a development version is obviosly not for release. i will increase the number each time i am satisfied with what i have done so far. (usualy enougth for a news article, this one being an exception as d10 isn’t actualy finished)

as always, if you want to play the old version you can on the games page. those who dont like words, be warned.

Not tide related. Using maya and might put it into unity.

We are under attack!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
