Today Chica Simulator turns 1 years old! I know it’s a cliche thing to say but It really feels like yesterday. It’s absolutely crazy to think that this game is a year old! I want to thank you guys for the amazing support on this game! I never thought that it would become this big! :D
I had some plans on releasing an anniversary edition of the game but I had so much stuff happening in my life that I literally only made some little changes to the game. I’m sorry for that. I mentioned the features for the anniversary edition in a previous devlog. And I think I still will do some of these things before the year ends.
So since I’m not going to release an anniversary edition I thought I might as well do something. So I’ll give you guys some history on Chica Simulator!
The History of Chica Simulator:
March 11th 2017 is when the game began development. The only reason why I began developing on the game in the first place it’s because I had no internet and prior to that I downloaded some FNAF textures just for fun. I had them sitting on my desktop for weeks and I never did anything with them. So on the day that my internet went out I decided to start making Foxy Simulator! YES! I was never going to make Chica Sim. but instead Foxy Simulator. I had the idea in my head even before Bonnie Simulator! But I was just to lazy to start working on it. I made a little demo of it in 1 day that I never showed to anyone except for 1 playtester. Then I realized how boring it is to play as Foxy. It’s basically like playing Nightmare Chica from Chica Sim. but with Foxy! I scraped the game and began working on… CHICA SIMULATOR! All of the items in the shop from Foxy Sim. eventually made it’s way in to Chica Sim. I made a little demo with only Chica. And there was no SFX! I couldn’t download them because I still had no internet. Then I started work on Toy Chica and Withered Chica. I had some PNG images on my PC of them but didn’t have the FNAF 2 texutres so that’s why they are on the FNAF 1 map in the first version! March 17th is when I finished the demo of the game with Toy Chica, Withered Chica and Normal Chica. There was still no SFX BTW. I couldn’t do anything about it so I just waited until I got my internet back. After a couple of hours It came back so I rushed to my PC, started downloading SFX and began importing them in to the game. The whole process took me about 2 hours. After I was done I felt exhausted and just straight up went to bed. The next day I dedicated a couple of hours just to polish it up and release it. Then… March 19th arrived and I released it on Gamejolt! I wasn’t expecting much. I thought it was just going to get overlooked. But even if it would of gotten overlooked and nobody played it. I would not be sad because I had a lot of fun making the game!
Again I want to thank you for all the amazing support on this game! You guys are really the best and kind of the reason why I’m still making games. So thank you!
