HOWDY!
This is gonna be a light summer update. It was so hot my hands kept sweating so I couldn’t draw. I’m kidding :D (actually not). Let’s rather say I don’t have much to show you because I focused on working the audio material.
As told in the last newsletter I attended the Stunfest in order to showcase the game.
As you can see, I created a space with what I had on hand. Actually It turned out great! The Stunfest’spirit is all about easy-going and spontaneity, so I felt very on brand ahah. Despite some technical problems (the demo freezed at a specific time in the game), and the very noisy background not very conducive to an optimal experience, I nevertheless received very warm and cheerful feedbacks. I think one of those who touched me the most was: “Thank you, I forgot that video games could make you feel like… that.”
In brief, my Stunfest experience was a success and a good time for very interesting and incredible meetings!
Lately, I have been spending a lot of time working with the talented Bolt in the Void and Siddhartha Barnhoorn on the sound design and music for the game. I can not tell you how much fascinating it is for me when the visuals, gameplay and sound elements are getting assembled together. Everything becomes so much more vibrant and more tangible. It’s like seeing your universe being born, AGAIN.
We decided to create a soundcloud page to share some of the work done on the soundtrack. We will add a few songs along the way, without spoiling too much of what is to come.
And of course I have some recent gifs to share with you!
On board with the SwissGames delegation, I’m going to randomly throw business cards at people and explore this big and strange business jungle. We will see if that triggers something. Who knows?
In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful summer and thank you again for your support and patience.
Your dear Forever, Wuthrer
