What's New?
Arcades
Turns out Frown's an incredibly astute poker player, so the carnival can finally fix it's arcade machines! That means you've got some highscores to beat!
Enjoy our 4 3 brand new games to play during your downtime. However, we did buy these from 'Haunted Novelties Emporium' so fingers crossed nothing bad happens!
Music
Enjoy some brand new tunes produced by your's truly.
For what ever reason you want to listen to it separately, you can find it on my youtube.
(Recently changed name because '.' is not considered part of a hyperlink sometimes)
Visuals
Some designs have had a few tweaks but more importantly I might have forgotten to unblur all the pixel art up to this point . This is fixed now.
Power
The power system has been slightly reworked; the roll for power outage occurs every 3 seconds and will dim rather than immediately shut off. This provides some notice before the shadow spawns.
Moons
For each important story beat you complete now, you gain a moon on the home screen (up to 3).
For Returning Customers
The new features should seamlessly apply to the old versions, but if they do not press 'New Game' and it should sort it,
Patches
Fixed some characters not spawning when they were suppose to
Fixed one of the endings
Fixed some dialogue typos
Download now no longer requires to be run as administrator
Night 4 Rebalancing (SPOILERS)
Weighted spawns for the Follower (40% corn maze, 10% arcade, 20% haunted house, 30%, shed)
Decreased Pinata Pig spawn rate
Boring Explanation of why this is a thing
Why is this a thing?
With Out for Delivery having a clear roadmap, I want to give Midnight Haze a proper tidy up - leaving it in a presentable state and finally adding some suggested/important features.
In terms of issues this game fixes - branching story paths. I feel in the main game the 'false' ending was too confusing meanwhile the 'true' ending was too easy to miss. This DLC will hope to bridge that gap by making it more confusing.
Music is also a main reason. The base game relied heavily on royalty-free sound effects however for Out For Delivery I want to make my own music. Therefore simple arcade showtunes are good way to give it a go while not being too daunting.
Why is it considered 'DLC'?
The features added are unique and different enough from the base game to warrant the 'extra-content' label. Also it makes dividing the soundtrack easier.
What Now?
Now back to making packaging puns...
Hope you enjoy,
