A couple more days!
Next up
After building out a concept in Unity, we are moving! We decided to test out moving our procedural skybox generator from Unity to Unigine. Came to find out, Unigine comes with volumetric clouds built in. I am impressed. Free until $200k rev/yr no royalty
Ore & Ordinance. Out soon!
Well after some playing around, I am definitely sticking it out with MonoGame. We have officially hit 1:1 Earth scale. No shaders or anything yet. Just code. public double Radius = 6371000.0;
public int Resolution = 64;
public int MaxLOD = 12;
These were some of my favorites. Way to heavy on the frames though. Defeats the purpose of building to run on a potato.
Well our planet tech is definitely not going to take... how many years? I spent whatever it cost to eat and buy energy drinks. Still a WIP.... Hire me CIG!!!!
After some pain and suffering, I bring you Hooley Planet Tech! Kidding. But I am pretty proud so far! How was no one doing this in XNA back in the day? (Hardware, I know, rhetorical)
Daily dump: More shader work. Fixing up the clouds to have volume on the tops and bottoms. Making the lighting better. Added god rays, bloom, linear depth to the clouds. etc.
Some work from our continuing project.
Coming very soon!
Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂
What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔
