First location finalization (Reconstructed Ruins.)
We will start with some good news! Everything is exactly planned for the first location aka "Ruins". This means we know what happend, happens and will happen there. We've designed some enemy monsters you might encounter there.Q : What will be so special about Ruins location you are talking about? Will it be like the normal one we had to get through in Undertale?
A : Yep and nope. You might follow the new path. Just stay on the way! Nobody will care about you now.
Monster(s) designs.
As we said earlier, some enemy monsters have already got their designs! (Moreover, some sprites for them are done.) Although, lots of progress need to be made. Moving on from enemy monsters, we've worked on some main monster-characters. Hopefully got 2 of them ready. (Only designs, though!) Other than that, we have only a small ammount of NPC monsters.Q : You said that some of the designs are already made. Mind showing them?
A : As for now we have no desire leaking them. Don't worry, though. We absolutely will post freshy desings to fulfill your curiosity
Music/Themes.
Sadly, as much as we'd like to create some tracks, our skills aren't enough to do so. That's the difficult part about the game for now. If you know anyone that can make some banger-tracks, please, let us know! (We have a team of 2 people at the moment. We hope that this number will increase one day.)Coding. GameMaker2 engine.
Here comes the most annoying part. We'd say that the coding programm that we are using now isn't confirmed. That means we might (or not) switch it.Q : Is there any coding progress? If so, why would you switch the engine?
A : It's a tough question to answer. While being able to script some "basics", we aren't sure that it'll be enough. Right now we are looking for an experienced coder, so we will follow his lead. Even if we coded ourselves, it would be too much to take on.
Future plans. Game's status.
We've almost reached the end of this "devlog". Here are our thoughs and plans about the future! Right now the game is at it's concept level. We are planning to make the story as unique (but also canon!) as we can (We are planning to change the description aswell as it doesn't display current status and basic info). We are focusing on writing and developing the story aspects aswell as making designs.Conclusion.
So yep, lot's to come in due time. We are sorry for such a messy devlog. Later on, we'll try to improve them! Hopefully everything will go as planned. (Also you are probably wondering about that one human on the devlog's post. Her name is Lily and she will be the protagonist of this story.) As for now it's time for this devlog to end.
