Heya! Still working on Act 1. I’m trying to get the voice acting and music completely caught up before I even consider dropping a release date, so, again, it’ll be done when it’s ready. Progress is great as usual though, don’t worry!
In terms of the disclaimer, I noticed someone rated a 1. Presumably, they might’ve had a bad experience with how the game runs, and this has been a semi-common complaint, so, making this clear now.
The game needs a decently medium to high-end machine to run. It will lag on low-end computers. If you have a low-end computer, it’s not exactly the game’s fault, there’s just so much going on at every given moment that causes lag for computers with little RAM to spare. This isn’t your average RPG Maker game, and I’m already using an antilag script to try and lighten the load.
If I had a low-end computer, I’d be more keen on trying to lagtest it, but as it stands, I’m just one guy making this game on a high-end rig by himself, and I don’t have a reliable way to reduce lag for low-end machines at the moment. If I find a way to lagtest the game better, I’d be willing to do what I can to fix it. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, and to whoever rated a 1, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience!
That being said, work still continues. Happy Halloween, everyone! More news on Act 1 coming soon!
