Lots of testing, pixel art, map design and programming have been taking place behind the scenes here at IntraMental Studios. We have a huge art project with high quality paintings of the in-game characters. Plus, lots of lore writing and world building.
What you see in this video is the prologue map. This is the first time we have shown off the new map area on gamejolt. The story of Insectoid begins in a hotel room near the airport.
Currently, Insectoid Descent at its core, is a simple top down shooter with sandbox qualities (being able to spawn enemies, boom barrels, etc)
So much work is going into Finishing the game, we have been neglecting sharing on social media and here, on gamejolt. Rest assured we are still working on this game (since September 2017)
