AIR BREATHER/THE COMMANDER IS COMING TO JOLTERLAND ONCE AGAIN TO STORM EVERYTHING ON HIS SIGHT!

SOUL - BIG BOSS

The skeleton being Mayor Jolt's one of the greatest catchers in Gamejolt now will complete his duty to capture the people from the wanted list.


PASSIVE - UNSTOPPABLE FORCE

If he gets stunned while using his ability, that stun only lasts 1.5s. After the recovery, he gains Outrage status for 8s and highlights a friend who stunned him before for 6s. Time derogation of UNSTOPPABLE FORCE lasts 10s.

Outrage prevents a foe to get stunned as well as boosting his speed and damage by 1.2x.

M2 ATTACK – CHARGE (HOLD)

During the wind-up, Air Breather enters the agressive stance before rushing foward with massive speed boost and average steering. Also he gains Undefeatable status during CHARGE. While colliding with a friend, he grabs them dealing 30 DMG and once he does so, he's able to ram over the other friends dealing 20 DMG. He can also accelerate and increase his CHARGE damage by 1.25x via holding down the M2 button. It has three tiers;

- At Tier 1, is just a basic CHARGE.

- At Tier 2, his hand becomes on fire making a grabbed target gain Burning status.

- At Tier 3, his force field becomes so powerful that he can bypass blocking or parry attacks (via Piercing).

In the end of CHARGE's time limit, The Commander throws a grabbed friend on the ground dealing 25 DMG with a small to slightly large shockwave. While hitting the wall, he hits a friend on the wall with a solid knockback.

However if he misses and/or he hits the wall, he gains Slowness I for 2/3/4 seconds depending on how CHARGED is empowered.

Undefeatable prevents a foe to get stunned during their attacks.

Burning does a tick damage for 1 to .25 seconds depending on how this ability is charged before.

Piercing makes a foe to bypass the friends' block and/or parry attacks.

COOLDOWN: 8s

ABILITY 1 – NO MORE HIDING

Upon activation, Air Breather turns on his radar and his screen goes green while everyone is getting highlighted to it for 8s, however he gains Disarmed status during that ability. The friends with last life remaining gains Marked status losing their aura reveal immunity during this ability.

During the Last Man Standing, NO MORE HIDING lasts 2s longer.

Disarmed prevents a foe to use M1 attack and their abilities.

Marked bypasses Invisibility status and devoids the character of the aura reveal immunity.

COOLDOWN: 10s

ABILITY 2 – CALL FOR SKELEGOONS

Upon activation, Air Breather pulls out his walkie-talkie and calls his two skelegoons. Once he does that, they will go after the nearest friend.

If a skelegoon hits a friend, they takes 20 DMG as well as they gain Broken status and they are highlighted to him.

The skelegoon theirselfs has 20 HP and speed of 5.3m/s and can be destroyed by a friend.

Broken prolongs the ability cooldowns time by 2x as well as shortens a foe's recovery time by 1.5x.

COOLDOWN: 20s (Unable untill both of them are destroyed)

ABILITY 3 – UNDEAD GRASP

Upon activation, Air Breather grasps a friend and if he does so, he give them Anchored status.

In exchange of being locked out of the sprinting and using abilities, he gains Refresh status. He can punch a friend via M1 button dealing 10 DMG, or throw with them when aimed with M2 button dealing 5-45 DMG depending how much he charged that button.

However, in a friend's POV, they are fowarded into the Escape Minigame. During this minigame, a friend has to click of WSAD keybinds appearing on the screen. Any mistake is punishing. After countering the minigame, Air Breather gets stunned for a second.

Anchored completely immobilizes the character for a period of time.

Refresh shortens the ability cooldowns time by 1.5x.

COOLDOWN: 14s; 16s (if a friend gets away from his grasp)


DEV NOTES

  • The Commander was the very first character I've made for HOJ, even that I have ever started making a game, lol.

  • After I've kinda disliked his precode design, I did a RECODE UPDATE announcement and alongside with it, I've started to work at rework of him.

  • He's based on that bodyguard from Pressure's Halloween Event campaign.
