When AUCN was created it was supposed to be just a new version of UCN, but when I took over development, I became unhappy with it.
Whenever I look at AUCN I see a mess. I see 50 animatronics being pointless. I see a game that isn’t fun to play. That’s all AUCN is, it’s just another UCN, we’ve already seen this game, it’s boring, it’s pointless.
I’ve seen beta testers, even myself, not want to play the game. When you play AUCN, it doesn’t seem like you’re working toward anything, you’re just playing. I don’t even think that “playing” is the right word to use, the correct word would be “working” because that’s what playtesting AUCN is, work.
Before I took over the project, I was pitching ideas to get rid of this feeling, things like lootboxes, the shop system, and daily challenges were added to hopefully give the player some sense of accomplishment. But it still wasn’t enough.
It kept feeling so boring, so empty, that I couldn’t take it anymore and I took over the project of AUCN. I needed this experience to feel different, to feel special, I wanted AUCN to be an experience that would stay in a persons mind for a very long time.
But eventually, people left the team, and my contacts ran out. I can’t do this by myself, trust me, I’ve tried… and failed. So, I’m hoping that this post can get some people, I can’t let AUCN die. I’m looking for people such as a soundtrack composer, 3d modeler, concept artist, etc.
If you can help me with one of those things, PLEASE contact me, I really need AUCN to be a satisfying gameplay experience, and I can’t do that without people.
