The game development is going a little slower than I planned due to varius stuff that takes my time in the afternoon, but anyway I thought I’d share a little info on what platforms the game will run.
I write it using the Löve engine, which (if you take a look at their website) runs on nearly anything including the kitchen sink, or at least GNU/Linux, Windows and Mac. There are also ways to run games written for it on a couple of mobile platforms (android) and as a website widget.
My main focus is going to be on the 3 desktop platforms, especially GNU/Linux as that is my main system (yes, really, I use OpenSUSE, it’s awesome :-) ). I will however also publish the game package as a plain “love” file that can be used on other platforms as long as the engine is installed there.
So that’s it for the supported platforms. You can take a peek at the project site, but beware of potential spoilers (in the blueprints section). There’s not much code to look at yet (ok, there is nearly none :-P ), but by the end of the month I think I’ll have something that runs, just don’t count on it to be pretty just yet :-).
I promise to bring a more or less real first version until the end of June. I hope I’ll manage to keep this promise, stay tuned.
