An update has been released for Unsandboxed.

Changelog is in the article.

  • Icons for the procedure input buttons have been changed to be easier to distinguish.

  • You can now add statement inputs to procedures.

    • Statement inputs work with custom reporters, allowing you to make inline blocks. (Does not work fully in compiler yet!!!)

    • They also work with hat mutations, but it's not recommended.

To those of you who keep up with this project, thank you.

Useless Scratch facts # 2:

In Portuguese, the translators decided that uppercasing all of the hat blocks would be their sin of the day.

Just looking at Snap! for inspiration-- wait a minute..

Global custom blocks have been released for Unsandboxed.

Full changelog in the article.

spatula inline blocks (broken for now)

So I can say for certain that Scratch 4.0 will depend on modern Blockly, which for now is being held together by the old GUI code from 3.0

Useless Scratch facts # 1:

The order of the motion category blocks in Scratch 3 was changed from how they appeared in Scratch 2 in the 11th hour.

In the Scratch-Blocks 1.0 developer testing playground, the order is identical to Scratch 2.

Useless Scratch facts # 3:

A speech-to-text extension was being tested in early versions of 3.0 but was scrapped, most likely due to an unresolved issue of it randomly stopping.

The code and assets for it still exist and are even implemented in some mods.

An experiment has been released for global custom blocks.

This is what we've been working towards and it's a very scary and delicate feature that NEEDS testing.
