And with the writing of this post, all updates on SUBCON.FDS are finished. No more updates, no more patches. This is Patch 1.0.7, and here are some of the things I changed:


  • Fixed the ending to have the right background color.

  • Fixed every warp bug.

  • Tweaked one boss fight in the secret ending just a little bit.

  • Fixed the carrying item physics (since I know they were a little awkward).

  • Added Full Screen and Windowed support across the application (which had been intended from the beginning but yeah.)

  • Amongst a number of other small things.

  • Fixed a pause glitch involving when you die.

  • Toned down on the flashing colors and the like to be less extreme and overwhelming.

And...I kinda mean what I said at this point, don't bother reporting on any more bugs because...unless they destroy the entire game's structure...they're not getting patched. I suppose this is my consequence of programming an engine nearly from the ground up in clickteam, but it is what it is, and I do hope I made a through effort either way.

So...unfortunately given that IRL things got in the way and in general having to do more than expected, SUBCON.FDS' full version will NOT be making it to EXEChallenge3. That is unless something crazy happens (i.e deadline extension). But otherwise...yeah.
