Animations and Camera Movement!

Noelle's Repentance Devlog 2(%)

This will probably be shorter than the "Mini" Devlog Yesterday, but it is still quite significant.

Animations

Yeah. Now Noelle doesn't hopelessly A-Pose when you press the directional buttons, she will actually go into the direction you press!

(Ok, maybe it's not that impressive, but it took quite a while to export the sprites, import them into Godot, and program in the correct movement)

Camera Movement

Now Noelle is not stuck roaming around the flower area! I also set up some camera movement limits so that you can't see the default grey Godot background. Kek.

I was actually able to implement this more quickly than I thought I would.

Music!

Grotesque 7-up#7387 never disappoints in delivering chill themes! Now we have two new themes for the game:

  1. Pre-Fearful Battle (A Jingle for Encountering an Enemy)

  2. Fearful Battle (The Battle Theme)

Be sure to listen to them in the Game Soundtrack section when you are done reading this log!

A Sprinting Conclusion

Before ending this Devlog, you might notice in the video that I added sprinting.

But then again, I would not say that you are dumb for not noticing, because I have no visual feedback for this occurring yet.

Thanks for reading to the end! Be sure to stick around for more Devlogs.

Have a Sunny Day!

Small Update Regarding the Development of Noelle's Repentance

Been working on a Undertale framework for Godot. So far I am working on a clamping system so the soul thingy stays in the box.

Been working on a 1st person dungeon-crawler RPG thingy themed around pokemon (1/3) This is the prototype for the overworld stuff.

School

Mad Mew Mew but they're a Mew instead.

Heya! I am back on developing this sonic fangame now, and I actually have something to show for it (early prototype stuff shown above). It is officially undiscontinued. Progress will still be slow of course, but I feel I will have a lot of fun making it.

Been working on a 1st person dungeon-crawler RPG thingy themed around pokemon (2/3) This is the prototype for the battle system. VERY WIP. I got selection working. So that's cool!

Made an arena system for an undertale framework I am working on in Godot.

“Unrelaxing start” “blizzard again“ “steamy shores” “sound against bone” “puzzling death” “a foreboding conclusion?”
