Hey everyone!
June is coming to an end, and with it I wanted to share where the game is at the current state.
As I mentioned in the previous post, the game was delayed until June. The reason for that was university consuming most of my time and focus, which is why I was unable to finish the remaining parts of the game by the deadline. So, what is currently going on with the game?
For the entirety of June I was rigorously trying my best to finish everything that's been left for the game. Those things being two major sequences and general audio work (adding sounds, music, etc.). Everything was going quite smoothly for the first half of the month, by the time of which I had finished the first major sequence. The team was very stunned from the final result, which was really great to hear.
The second half of the month, however, wasn't as productive as I expected it to be. My family had organized a two week trip to another country, which did make an impact on my progress with the remaining bits of the game. Despite this, I did get a laptop and continued working even during our trip, and there wasn't a single day of me not working on the game in any shape or form. At the time of writing this post, we are a couple of hours away from flying back home, and I have almost finished the last major sequence. That would leave the only work being the audio, and doing full game playtesting right after to find any remaining bugs and glitches.
I really wish I could finish this faster, but those things take time and personal life stuff does occasionally appear in the way, and I don't want to release an undercooked project, so I'm sorry to announce that we still need just a little more time to prepare everything to an appropriate level of quality. Hope you understand.
This will probably be our last update before announcing the release date along with other cool teasers and such!
