With exams and deadlines nearing, we (we as a team of 3 people) will have to dedicate most of time to studying. This is why I've been actively working on everything else around the encounter. Unfortunately we are lacking a lot of resources, but that's not an issue yet.
Overworld
Following the last devlog, I finished ALL overworld rooms and events. This includes both the standart and the new ones. Visually I'm happy with how they came out, but we are yet to work on a new sprite for Frisk, as well as a couple items/tilesets in other rooms.
It's a rather small but welcome addition, but I had a lot of fun working on them.

That being said, they are not made equal...

GUI, Prologue
I really wanted to get something done for the prologue and menu before I focus on the studies. The menu was pretty easy to figure out; I want it to be minimal but atmospheric. It's empty for now since we couldn't make the art for it yet, but the layout should stay as it is.

Although the art is not going to be flashy, I want the menu to be reactive in a similar way to No More Deals: it will change subtly as you progress the story.
The prologue on the other hand was dificult to figure out. It took me a lot of drafts to figure how to start the game, until I ended up with a pretty fitting dialog. Again, since we are struggling with art at the moment, I went ahead and made the placeholders myself. I like some of these, we could use them as a reference in the future.

Encounter
I was still not happy with the atonement route, so I revisited the path once more
I think I got the dialogs right this time. Chara doesn't talk a lot, but they are responsible for most of the feel in the battle. I couldn't figure it out until I finished one the rooms and the rematch events in there.
Another thing I didn't like is the background: it felt too sudden and static. I made it progress differently throughout the battle, giving each part of the fight a distinct feel.

The rest of the progress there is either too techical to talk about or too important to leak yet.
At the end of projects and exams I should be free once again. By that time we should have some of the assets done.
Thank you all for your patience! It means a lot and motivates me keep juggling between the work and the game.
