I know some people can't read this, so here's what it says in clear text:
After weeks of consideration and tough choices, I’ve decided to cancel any further updates for Beta 1. I understand that it’s currently the only public build of the Phoenix Engine and that it’s also quite unstable, but I came to this decision for several reasons–mainly due to messy code, ongoing stability issues, and other challenges.
These problems could only really be solved by either rewriting the entire engine, which would justify starting a whole new major version, or continuing with the same code and just dealing with more bugs and challenges along the way.
So, I’ve decided to shift my focus to Beta 2, more than most of my other projects. Honestly, I really enjoy working on it a lot more than Beta 1. The code is cleaner, more organized, and much more stable. On top of that, I feel like I have more creative freedom and new opportunities with this version of the engine. I'm hoping to share a preview of the studio interface design in the next few weeks.
I truly apologize for this announcement–I know it might be disappointing for some of you, especially if you put a lot of work into your Beta 1 projects. That said, I’ll make sure Beta 2 releases sooner, and I’ll also make sure that converting Beta 1 projects to Beta 2 is smooth and available right when Beta 2 goes public.
Thank you all so much for your support. I love you guys!
