Initial studies and final concept:
It started as a normal shooter but eventually we decided to go for something more light/silly/nonsense with the main inspiration being Kirby. The pig appeared while I was trying to get an interesting silhouette for the character, the fish was totally random as well!
For the backgrounds I wanted to mix opposite themes: sea/desert, sky/city, space/ground.

There isn’t really a story in this game and every team member have a theory about it. Mine is that Buta-chan isn’t into fighting, despite being a killer machine, he just wanna make some friends <3
