I've been monitoring the development of Fangame Direct 2 for about, almost a year (10 months to be exact) and I can genuinely, confidently say that the whole thing was extremely unprepared.

The team took a year and a half to get this event out, and it would've genuinely only took a week if not less to ensure its overall quality. I mean come on, the fucked up bitrate, outdated trailers and errors in the credits?

This is genuinely just.. embarrassing. I get it, the whole event was only done by 4 people but then how come Fangame Direct 1 was also done by 4 people but turned out to be just fine?

There's no excuse for that, it genuinely feels like once some of the team members were switched out for new ones, the whole event delved into complete shit. They couldn't at least get a proper member to assure the event's quality?

This event was delayed a multitude of times, games dipped out the event, people got pissed, and the general event's popularity was just completely dying off; just for THIS?
Now I genuinely do not mean any harm towards any of the members behind this event, big thank you to @martinarthur for even giving me a chance to show off my game in the event and overall being a great friend.

But there's so much that could've been easily fixed, a simple revision could've fixed this whole mess.

FD1 was only a disaster due to Luigi Judah, but if you just ignore it, it was a pretty solid event! Great games, decent management and great reception!

FD2 however, was an absolute disaster because of, itself; and what I mean by that its overall workflow. It genuinely there wasn't enough care into the event to the point where it was visible and that it was extremely rushed, even despite its delays. There was no "Luigi Judah" to ruin the whole matter. There is no excuse.

I genuinely feel like there will never be a FD3, or anything like it. If the team was this irresponsible with the project, then how could I genuinely trust them with the next one?

I appreciate your efforts, but this just wasn't it.
