Attack of the Goblings

Today’s game has a name; and that name is the title of this piece so I will not repeat it here. Instead of doing what I hinted at, and making the RTS from yesterday but taking down the screen size a few notchs so I could add more, I spent today working on some new stuff and some time saving processes.

For example, the movement in todays game took me a while to figure out, but in practice, takes less than forty seconds to write down (depending on your typing speed). Also, instead of taking the boring, bland, and tasteless path of adding a score bar, I made it so that you get shields for every enemy you kill (and different shields for different enemies).

Enjoy the screenshot below while I go get fooled by all the things my friends are saying that aren’t true.

Terminal Today’s game is a point and click called Terminal. You explore the floating city of terminal from its warehouse to its hangars while learning about its inhabitants and how they treat you.

Heartless I decided to leave out the sprite for jumping today. Instead, I focused my time on adding in two different weapons (a rifle and a rocket launcher), and some destrucible terrain.

World Map 2 This is probably more a map of places than an actual world map. Anyway, the game is called Liabus; you scroll through the four places that occupy the land of liabus, and read a short description on each of them.

Fight! I was able to make a two player game today. Fight! has you commandeering either the red or green ship, and then blasting your foe to bits. Also, as of today, this project is twenty-percent complete.

The Twenty-second Day

A Basic Platformer I’m taking back what I said yesterday, and am dedicating the rest of this week to making platformers. Today’s went very well. I was able to add in a shooting mechanic, destructible boxes, a life system, and an automatic door.

Blue and Green Today’s game is rather difficult to explain. On one hand it is an arena shooter; on the other hand, it has small traces of yesterdays game in it. It can also be a one-player or two-player game. Anyway, heres a screenshot.

Lost Mage Today’s game is Lost Mage. You wander around as a lost mage, pick up articulate mage staffs, and notice vague references to previous games.

No More Shops! Today’s game is a, finally, working shop menu. You switch between buying and selling a very small collection of items, (potions, ethers, and somas) and because I had extra time, I was able to add some sounds.
