Banked corners and Linux Version for Roll Down Mk2 Devlog P3!


Finally Banked corners the changes for the new Track Mk3!

The first thing I changed for the track tool was to separated the checkpoint system and track, so now I can build jumps and multiple track lines. Second I added the option to remove the barrier (so the player can foll down) or replace it with a Guard Rail! Third finally add the option for the track to roll.

Now Roll Down has a Linux version based on the Vulkan Api and I have to say that I am impressed with the performance, only dropping by 5-10% on the same system.

Small Changes and fixes worth mentioning:

  • Add Race mode

  • Add Race Checkpoints

  • Add new Level and Track called Testground

  • Fixed the dark shader bug when choosing a metallic paint.

  • Fixed the missing sound on the Testground track

  • Reworked the Lighting system on all tracks

  • Reworked the collision for players that have jumped away from the track

  • add a loading-screen

  • add a Linux version

I know the game is a bit oversized with a 2gb Download file but, from now on every Update will be based on this version (0.4.1) and will be updatable to the newest version.
