Basic level design complete

Hello everyone,

The launcher is currently being debugged, so in the meantime I have completed the basic design of the final two rooms. This has been a huge step for me in the process because I’ve got a limited supply of assets and had to get creative with them to form different room designs without getting too repetitive.

I maintained the use of one asset because I wanted to ensure the quality remained high throughout the entire gameplay experience. When you are walking through a futuristic game and come across a forklift from the year 2000, it tends to kill the immersion a tad.

With this completion, I will now be going back through each room and adding the finer details. This means things like coffee cups, trash cans, pens, etc. The little details that make a room come together.

Once I’m done with that I will be moving onto phase 2 of my level design, which will be to make the facility look like it’s been in use for some time. This also includes finalizing the timeline for my story to determine just how much time the facility has been in use as well as finalizing my decision on character models for the game.

I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I’m excited to have accomplished what I have so far. I’m looking forward to taking the next steps towards the completion of my game.
