Last Friday, we had the exciting opportunity to bring Beneath to Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias for a hands-on testing session. Specifically, we met with the students enrolled in the BSC Videogames course, a group we knew would provide insightful feedback due to their passion and knowledge of video games.
This approach of conducting playtests with focused groups builds upon the success we experienced with our previous game. By presenting the game to smaller audiences, we can foster a more intimate and interactive testing environment. This allows us to gather in-depth feedback from the testers, gaining valuable insights into their thoughts on the gameplay, mechanics, and overall experience. This feedback is like gold for our development team, as it directly influences the improvements we make to the game. In some cases, the ideas and suggestions provided by these testers even spark the creation of entirely new features that elevate the gameplay to the next level.
We’re firm believers in the power of collaboration, and these testing sessions are a fantastic example of how working directly with gamers can significantly improve the quality of our games.
Thanks to Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias and the BSC Videogames crew for excellent testing session.
