Branching narratives... what I found out

Branching narratives are crazy. Every choice given to the player exponentially increases the amount of work I have to do writing dialogue.

Since I'm one person working alone, I need to work smart or work for a very long time. For that reason, I need to make fewer branches. Fewer branches sounds rubbish because I want every player to have a unique experience. So, how do I fix that issue?

I'm making the narrative adaptive. Although you may be on a similar path to other players, your choices will craft that path into something uniquely yours.

Loading and reading scripts now works! This means, not only will it be much easier for me to make episodes, but there is now a very real possibility of player-made episodes!

The story of 'Going Down' is falling into place nicely. The visuals are looking lovely. The atmosphere is spooky with more than a touch of mystery.

I am very happy with progress!

Arguably the most important part of the game's development- the script writing. Not just the actual writing part, but also the way the game reads and understands scripts. This is the format so far.

Taking its time, but not forgotten...

It's time to get serious about development! And I need your support
