To clear up confusion with the last devlog’s mention of “Chapters,” we will be periodically releasing new chapters to the game.
Previously known as the Full Demo, Underfell: Chapter 1 will span all of the Ravaged Mines, Chapter 2 will span Snowdin, Chapter 3 Waterfall, etc.
We are no longer making a “Full Game.” Rather, the game will be split up into chapters divided by the area with a coherent save file between all chapters.
However, by the time the final chapter has been released, that will serve as the full game because all the previous chapters are contained within new ones in attempt to prevent save file crashing.
Every new “chapter” that gets released will have the following things.
All the previous chapters, to prevent save file crashing.
The current chapter. (duh)
Hopefully some bug-fixes, maybe?
A short preview of the next chapter.
This will allow us to be considerably more ambitious without severe waiting times, as we want everyone to always be satisfied. This also makes game development easier.
