Well, and now with the cards properly showing in the order gauge.
Once the combat is initiated the cards will flow from left to right. The most right card is the “active” card. If if is shown with the backside up, it will just be removed immediately (which will actually go pretty fast in the current planning), and as soon as a green card is the most right one, the hero depicted on the card will ask you to enter his or her move and then immediately execute it, and then re-appear on a spot in the card row somewhere based on his speed. A red card will show a letter corresponding to one of the enemies (you can see these when you target an enemy, as well) and basically the same will go for them.
Now the magic in this card row system is that there are a few extra possibilities. Marrilona for example will have a few spells that will only add a few blue cards into the row, but if these blue cards gets executed a magic effect will go off. As she mostly offers multiple blue cards, these spells can be interesting. There are also a few “inertia” effects in a few spells causing extra cards of either the enemy or the hero to be added. Be warned though, it will also be possible to have cards removed. If all of a (still living) characters cards are removed, he or she will get a new card, but is basically put at the back of the card row again, and that can suck.
And that is basically how the combat system for this game is planned.
