Hello! Long time no see everyone!
I just want to post something that's been on my mind for a while and it's one of the reasons why I can't get the motivation to work on the game..
The mapping...
In MLP RPG 6, you may have noticed the map designs in the dungeons that were very detailed and well made.. I worked extremely hard on them because covid closed everything down at the time. I couldn't go hang out with friends irl or do anything.. So, i had nothing better to do than make the maps as dungeony and unique as possible.. Each of those dungeons took a week of nonstop work and up to 3 weeks with the final dungeon.. And because of it.. I get concered that people will except the same kind of designs for Paladin's Tale...
I had a talk with the community about my older games throughout the series and mapping was one of the main concerns.. no one likes mazes.. no one like snake paths or lazy generator made maps..
I watched a livestreamer play MLP RPG 6 and he loved the dungeons.. he told me the whole game was "the potential he's been expecting from me" through the entire series (he's played all the games)
This put a lot of pressure on me for Paladin's Tale cause now people are expecting the same mapping quality as MLP RPG 6 and since I'm a busy person nowadays, it's just hard to sit down and work nonstop on the maps like I used to..
I may need more help... I don't want this to become another rushed game like what MLP RPG 5 turned into..
Anyways, that's what's been on my mind for a while.. I'm glad to get it off my chest.. Hopefully you understand my concerns and why there hasn't been any progress with this game..
I'm not cancelling it.. I just need some help and/or motivation..
Thanks for reading!
