I've not really been doing any game dev in the last 6 months, recently I've started a new project though that you'll hear more about soon (this time for real, not like every other time I said that lol).
I've shared Corporatocracy with a few friends over the past months as it's one of the only games of mine you can actually play. One had a few issues with it, so I decided to fix those as well as some others since I was already at it.
These changes include:
-Game now has 16:9 aspect ratio
-Can pause game (game difficulty now not too high like before, also good for screenshots ^^)
-Unit info UI with HP and unit portrait (this was common feedback to add)
-Get to menu from end screen with space or enter (had to restart game in previous versions)
-Alternative controls for many actions
-Added splashscreen
I'll likely fix some more things in the next week or two, mostly graphics (corpses, improved unit art) and perhaps some balancing changes. As I'll be focusing on the other game project though, this will likely be all the updates for a longer time.
I'd like to continue developement on Corporatocracy in the future as it's an interesting aesthetic world I've started building with a lot of potential for different games of all sorts. This game in particular has quite a few cool concepts I'd like to explore when I have the time to.
I will however rewrite all the code, including the engine and unit management code, as it has quite a few performance issues and is not as good as what I can now make. That's the main reason I can't develop it besides my new game project.
This will be all for now, cya ^^
