Deep Forest

Today’s game (Deep Forest) is essentially a copy of yesterdays. I did this for two reasons: one, yesterday’s game had a lot of glitches; and two, becuase of those glitches, it was very hard to see the strategy involved in the game. Prepare for a short explanation of the game.

Deep Forest is called a tower defense, but is more like Plant vs Zombies than say Kingdoms: Frontier (I believe that is what its called). In Deep Forest, you have two units: mud piles, are one-use items that disappear if they come into contact with an enemy, but slow that enemy down in the process; archers, are basic turrets that fire arrows, but at a very slow pace (hence the need for mud piles). Unlike other tower defenses, when you delete a unit in Deep Forest, you get all the gold back that went into making the unit. This was added so that you can rearrange your units while playing. Something that has to be done, considering the fact that each new enemy has more health than the previous one. Left click to create, right click to destroy, scroll to change units.

World Map 2 This is probably more a map of places than an actual world map. Anyway, the game is called Liabus; you scroll through the four places that occupy the land of liabus, and read a short description on each of them.

No More Shops! Today’s game is a, finally, working shop menu. You switch between buying and selling a very small collection of items, (potions, ethers, and somas) and because I had extra time, I was able to add some sounds.

The Twenty-second Day

A Basic Platformer I’m taking back what I said yesterday, and am dedicating the rest of this week to making platformers. Today’s went very well. I was able to add in a shooting mechanic, destructible boxes, a life system, and an automatic door.

Lost Mage Today’s game is Lost Mage. You wander around as a lost mage, pick up articulate mage staffs, and notice vague references to previous games.

Fight! I was able to make a two player game today. Fight! has you commandeering either the red or green ship, and then blasting your foe to bits. Also, as of today, this project is twenty-percent complete.

Heartless I decided to leave out the sprite for jumping today. Instead, I focused my time on adding in two different weapons (a rifle and a rocket launcher), and some destrucible terrain.

Blue and Green Today’s game is rather difficult to explain. On one hand it is an arena shooter; on the other hand, it has small traces of yesterdays game in it. It can also be a one-player or two-player game. Anyway, heres a screenshot.

Terminal Today’s game is a point and click called Terminal. You explore the floating city of terminal from its warehouse to its hangars while learning about its inhabitants and how they treat you.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
