Welp i uhh, thought i would have the new update ready by now, and it might take another month but the update should arrive soon.
Some features I've added so far include:
Bigger map
The base integration of a level editor (it won't be accessible for players until the next update however)
Complete UI redesign
('Poggers' update name not included)
A way better settings menu
Made player movement feel more fluid and fixed some issues/bugs beta-testers were having (pressing the jump button at the edge of a platform wouldn't make you jump for example)
Added some extra polish to make the game smoother (cześć)
Fixed some bugs and added in some tiny additions:
Made the player velocity 0 when the player hits a wall
Fixed player animations glitching out on ledges
Fixed a bug where the player could place down a checkpoint right before they died
Made the player ACTUALLY crouch when they hold down the crouch button (amazing feature right)
You can also change the volume of music and sound effects now :D
I've also added in some other cool additions (*coughs* cutscene at the start of the game *cough*)
But.. This is where the fun ends (at least for me)
I've ran into a ton of issues with Godot (my game engine of choice) related to the resource usage while my game is running.
I'm not sure if this is a Linux-specific issue, but it only appears to happen with this game so it might be some bug i accidentally yeeted in.
Either way this means my GPU is constantly at 70* C while I'm testing out the game (so wooo me!!!)
~I'll try fixing this as soon as i can, along with possibly adding in som other performance improvements (and over-engineering everything i make since i be quirky like that)
