Development is drudging along. I’m not doing any new levels but instead, tweaking the gameplay as it is. Right now I’m working on two minigames, one is chasing wildlife and another is puppy wrestling/play fighting. I wish I had more to show but everything I’m doing is kind of back end or incomplete.
On the bright side I’m psyched for the play fighting game. It’s going to feel like an arcade fighting game but with puppies. It exists solely to break up the monotony of following the trail the whole game, as does the hunting minigame. I need to make some kind of endgame for that, right now it’s kind of like a race but I need some in game reason to have it end and feel satisfying. I don’t have that yet because that’s what dogs do - they chase stuff and almost never catch it, then move on to other stuff, but humans need the emotional payoff. Any ideas?
