Development Update(9/19/18)

I’m changing gears with the game and focusing more around Adventure-esque gameplay rather than the hybrid gameplay seen in the SAGE 2018 demo.
Important changes:

  • Dash Drift and Boost have been removed entirely. Dash Drift is being saved for a different project.

  • Sonic’s model has been redone to fit the 2D artwork

  • Double jump has been added. Homing attack and air dash have been moved to their own button which will later be used for dashing.

The level design will be entirely reworked as well.

Additional fixes:

  • Sonic can no longer target objects behind him

  • Sounds and animations have been added to the homing reticle

  • Added dust particles for skidding

  • Proper peel-out animation

  • Peel-out can now be aimed

SONIC CALAMITY CAST ANNOUNCEMENT----------

After months of writing and putting this all together, I am proud to announce Calamity's voice cast.

A little WIP taste

Sonic Calamity updates: moved to Unity HDRP for better visuals, and it's going to be built with its own engine, Calamity Engine.

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
