Been quite a bit since I last posted any updates on the game, and a lot has changed since June.
The teaser:
I uploaded the first teaser for the game about 2 weeks ago which shows off an early state of the map through the new camera system, Fredbear active, and Chica (who is also active but wasn’t shown moving due to some animation errors I have to fix and her mechanics not being complete yet).
You can find it on the game page or on my YouTube channel.
Revamped directional player movement and player character:
Meet Gordon, the protagonist. (For now) I haven’t really written a story for him yet but I will eventually.
Also movement has been completely redone and you'll be able to see multi directional body animations when you move.
the camera shake when moving will also be a lot less disorienting and only triggers when you run.
New and better jumpscares:
The jumpscares don’t load you into another level anymore and are in real time now. (This caused a delay after being caught in the old version because it had to load another level just to play a jumpscare)
There are four jumpscares in the game currently: Fredbear, Foxy, Chica, and a secret character.
New map: (Heavy work in progress)
The new map is extremely different and a lot better than the old one. I’m making sure to make many things interactable if I can. There are also a bunch of easter eggs and secret characters.
Here are a few screenshots of how the map currently looks (Some props have been added that weren’t in the teaser)

Way better optimization:
I've learned the hard way that optimizing your game is very important if you want people to play it lol.
and for this game i'm optimizing the lighting a lot better than it was in the alpha so it should run much better.
(Phantom purgatory has the worst optimization by far and is honestly unplayable on older hardware)
But right now i'm getting almost 200fps in every level with almost no stutters on my RTX 4050 on high settings.
My own soundtrack:
You might have noticed that I've been adding short tracks onto the gamepage, this is because i've decided to make some of my own music and make the entire soundtrack available to download here when the full game is out!
(The teaser music was made by me)
Most will be made with an online synthesizer and some recorded by me irl via guitar.
Cameras and office gameplay is different and better:
The cameras in the first downloadable build of this game are quite buggy and don't have a layout or interface or anything. they are just numbered and you have to memorize them, which sucks.
But now the camera's have an actual visual layout while still being numbered and all the bugs present in the old version will be gone.
Theres also a special mechanic that a few other fangames inspired me to do. (Mainly the Final Hours series and TJOC) which is “Animatronic View” cameras where you can see through the eyes of an animatronic thats after you on your camera system which is pretty cool.
Also you’re able to actually sit down at the desk now.
Gamemodes:
I'm not gonna spoil anything but there will be over 5 different gamemodes and things to do after you beat the main game and one of them is really cool and really not something that many people have done in any Fredbear game recently but ill save it until the demo comes out. (It will be in the second demo most likely)
Thats pretty much it right now, i took a few breaks to enjoy summer vacation while it lasted and have barely been working on the game a few days a week but i feel like I’ve made pretty decent progress for how little time I’ve put into it.
There’s still no release date yet but if i had to guess i'd say the demo or beta or whatever i'll call it, will be out at least by early next year or possibly sooner. I’m not promising anything or rushing because I’ve been busy and I want to take my time with this and do it right.
I’ve also been thinking of doing like a video devlog next time to show features visually cause there’s a lot.

Also a bonus very early gameover screenshot from about a month ago. (Slightly outdated.)
Thats it, bye and thanks for reading!
