I am pleased to update you on the progress of the SNitN game. It's been less than a month since my return, and I'm happy to report significant progress in the game's development!
I am currently actively working on an additional version, which will be the piece of the pie that can demonstrate the main advantages of the new version of the game over the previous ones.
Today I will tell you in detail about what I have already done and what is about to be finalized on development The mini game will perfectly show you the superiority over the previous version of the game. It's exactly what you'll be able to play this month!
Since I lost all the game files, I started development all over again. Let's start with the most noticeable thing - graphics. As you can see, I managed to improve skills and achieve more beautiful visual effects. The interface also became much nicer and clearer. I heard that many people have a hard time figuring out the game, so I started to think about the theme with visual cues much better (however, it won't make the game easier).
There is a lot more interactivity, effects and animations in the game, which made the game much more comfortable to play.
Sounds have become my second trump card. There will be quite a few of them, many of them are improved old sounds and some are new. "Soon the darkness will gain a firmer grip to ground you into a sheer nightmare."
Wait a minute... Does this look like a desktop we can work on? Yes, it does. Make the most of it, maybe you'll learn something important sitting at it
I made a joke that the game would have a perk tree.... The joke got out of hand. Now, while playing the game, you can unlock 6 skills that will help you a bit in the story, provided you fulfill certain conditions.
I would especially like to mention that in the "Safety" section, unlocking advantages visually changes the interior of the house. And some of them will give you precious seconds and save you from death.
Hey! Older players probably cried when they saw the above screenshot. Previously, the story was presented through a short story. I hasten to inform you that this theme will return to the game, but with actual game-affecting choices. I think I'll talk more about it in the next devlog.
Oh yeah, the plot has changed and expanded too! I'm making the game all over again....
This is an old office concept, it will end up being something new, but the basis of the idea is the same. You will be able to run around the house, go outside, look outside windows and doors, climb into the attic, basement and much more. Sound like fun?
What to say about the demo - the next release will be 0.2.0, which will contain the beginning and end of the story of the first night, backstory, bonus materials , the first night itself and 2 mini games. I will not guess with release dates, when it will be ready, I will definitely report on it. I want to surpass all previous versions of the game in general and show how much my development skills have grown... Yes, it's a long project and development is a nightmare, but I'm sure that in the end it will be a great standalone game! Thanks for waiting and for following the project.
