Steam page is now public & even more improvements
This week on Wednesday the steam page for the game got approved and I immediately published the page. I’ve done many small tweaks and improvements to the steam page since then and will hopefully soon be able to also add a trailer. I would love to hear your feedback and opinions on the game page and of course wishlisting the game would help a lot with the steam algorithm to be discovered by more potentially interested people. I also worked once again on more performance improvements this week. Most importantly I managed to improve the vegetation masking to the point that it is now possible to be done at runtime during actual gameplay.
Notable tasks this week:
Published the steam page for the game: Ozone Wipeout Steam Page
Improved runtime vegetation masking performance
Improved the mod loading system to allow easy mod renaming and automatic new version override
Improved player status panel and attributes
Started implementing a system to significantly improve loading times of large prefabs
This is done using the mod system by saving the actual modular pieces the prefab contains. Instead of loading the complex compound object with Unity's default loading mechanics the object can not be incrementally loaded by loading the objects that make up the large object.

That’s all I got this week. I hope you are all doing well.
Stay safe out there and I’ll see you next week.
